Law for Partial Amendments, etc. to the National School Establishment Law
第一條　国立学校設置法（昭和二十四年法律第百五十号）の一部を次のように改正する。
Article 1.　The National School Establishment Law (Law No.150 of 1949) shall be partially amended as follows:

附則第十一項中「東京水産大学」の下に「及び商船大学」を加え、「農林大臣」を「それぞれ農林大臣及び運輸大臣」に改める。
In paragraph 11 of the Supplementary Provisions, "and the University of Mercantile Marine" shall be added next to "the Tokyo University of Fishery" , and "the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry" shall be amended as "the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry and of the Minister of Transportation respectively."
附則第十二項中「「農林省令」と」の下に「、商船大学にあつては「運輸省令」とそれぞれ」を加える。
In paragraph 12 of the Supplementary Provisions, 'and, in case of the University of Mercantile Marine, "Ministry of Transportation Ordinance" respectively'shall be added next to' "Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Ordinance" '.
附則第十三項を附則第十五項とし、附則第十二項の次に次の二項を加える。
Paragraph 13 of the Supplementary Provisions shall be made paragraph 15, and the following two paragraphs shall be added next to paragraph 12 of the Supplementary Provisions:
13　国立学校設置法の一部を改正する等の法律（昭和二十四年法律第二百二十五号）施行の際現に高等商船学校に在学する者で昭和二十四年度に入学したものは、商船大学に入学させるものとする。
13.　Those who are actually enrolled in the Nautical College at the time of the enforcement of the Law for Partial Amendments, etc. to the National School Establishment Law (Law No.225 of 1949) and who entered the college in the 1949 school year, shall be admitted to the University of Mercantile Marine.
14　前項の規定により商船大学に入学させた者については、高等商船学校における在学年数は、商船大学における在学年数とみなし、高等商船学校において履修した課程は、商船大学において履修したものとみなす。
14.　With regard to those who have been admitted to the University of Mercantile Marine in accordance with the provision of the preceding paragraph, the period of attendance at the Nautical College shall be regarded as that of attendance at the University of Mercantile Marine and the courses completed at the Nautical College shall be regarded as those completed at the University of Mercantile Marine.
別表第一弘前大学の項中「八二五人」を「八二一人」に、同表東北大学の項中「三、九九七人」を「三、九七七人」に、同表群馬大学の項中「九〇二人」を「八九七人」　　に、同表信州大学の項中「一、二二三人」を「一、二一九人」に、同表京都大学の項　　中「三、四五三人」を「三、四一四人」に、同表鳥取大学の項中「八一一人」を「八〇九人」に、同表九州大学の項中「二、九一六人」を「二、八七九人」に、同表中「

第二條　運輸省設置法（昭和二十四年法律第百五十七号）の一部を次のように改正する。
Article 2.　The Ministry of Transportation Establishment Law (Law No.157 of 1949) shall be partially amended as follows:
第二十九條中「海務学院」及び「高等商船学校」を削る。
In Article 29, "Maritime Institute" and "Nautical College" shall be deleted.
第三十二條及び第三十三條を次のように改める。
Articles 32 and 33 shall be amended as follows:

第三十六條第一項中「高等商船学校、商船学校及び海員養成所の生徒」を「商船大学、商船学校及び海員養成所の学生及び生徒」に改める。
In Article 36 paragraph 1, "the students of the Nautical College, the Mercantile Marine Schools and the Seamen Training Schools" shall be amended as "the Students and pupils of the University of Mercantile Marine, the Mercantile Marine Schools and the Seamen Training Schools."
第三十八條中「

Paragraph 10 of the Supplementary Provisions shall be made paragraph 11 and its subsequent paragraphs shall be moved down by one each, and the following one paragraph shall be added next to paragraph 9:
10　国立学校設置法（昭和二十四年法律第百五十号）の規定により設置される、商船大学は、昭和二十五年三月三十一日までは、本省の附属機関として置かれるものとする。
10.　The University of Mercantile Marine to be established in accordance with the provisions of the National School Establishment Law (Law No.150 of 1949) shall be an auxiliary organ of the Ministry of Transportation proper until March 31, 1950.
第三條　教育職員免許法（昭和二十四年法律第百四十七号）の一部を次のように改正する。
Article 3.　The Educational Personnel Certification Law (Law No.147 of 1949) shall be partially amended as follows:
第四條第六項第二号中「水産実習、」の下に「商船、商船実習、」を加える。
In Article 4 paragraph 6 item (2), "Merchant Vessels, Merchant Vessels Practice," shall be added next to "Aquatic Products Practice."
別表第一備考三中「及び水産」を「、水産及び商船」に改める。
In Annexed Table 1 Remarks (3), "and Aquatic Products" shall be amended as "Aquatic Products and Merchant Vessels."
別表第五第一欄中「若しくは水産実習」を「、水産実習若しくは商船実習」に改める。
In the first column of Annexed Table 5, "or aquatic products practice" shall be amended as "aquatic products practice or merchant vessels practice."
第四條　中等学校令等の特例に関する件（昭和十六年勅令第千百五十七号）は、廃止する。
Article 4.　The Ordinance concerning Exceptions to the Secondary School Ordinance, etc.(Imperial Ordinance No.1157 of 1941) shall be abolished.
附　則
Supplementary Provision:
この法律は、公布の日から施行する。
This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
