The graduates of the schools (excluding the universities and colleges under the provisions of Article 11 item (1) and Article 43 of the Medical Practitioners Law (Law No.201 of 1948)) which aim at medical training for not less than 3 years and require as the entrance requirements those not lower than the graduates of the middle schools or girls'high schools under the former regulations, or not lower than those officially approved as possessing the qualification to enter the colleges under the Regulation for Examination of the Entrance Requirements for the Colleges (Ministry of Education Ordinance No.22 of 1924), may take the preliminary national examination for medical practitioners which is to be held within 5 years from the day of enforcement of this Law, despite the provision of Article 12 of the Medical Practitioners Law. However, the examination shall not be taken more than twice.
