1. Rescissions. The following SCAP directives pertaining to the operation of Japanese Weather Service and Meteorological Stations are hereby rescinded:

The letters after the code for service rendered have the following meaning:
W----------- Equipped with Weichert Seismograph.
SG---------- Equipped with Simple Seismograph.
M----------- Oceanographical observations by local linens or weather ships.
T----------- Equipped with tide gauge.
LW----------- Taking land water observations.
S----------- Equipped with silver plate pyrheliometer.
R----------- Equipped with Robitsch pyrheliometer.
SW---------- Coast sea water observations.
3. The Central Meteorological Observatory will make monthly reports to the 43d Weather Wing of temporary differences in actual operation status, and that shown in this list. Report will be entitled "Current Status of Japanese Weather Service". Reports will have the following format:

Reason: Unable to establish station due to lack of oil for shipping; expect to establish station on 1 July 1947.
4. Request for changes in service rendered, activation of new stations, and inactivation of stations will be submitted to SCAP through Central Liaison Office with an information copy direct to Commanding Officer, 43d Weather Wing. Requests will include name, location, function presently being performed by the station, if any, the changes desired in the functions, and the reasons why the changes are needed.
