外務省設置法の一部を改正する法律
Law for Partial Amendments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Establishment Law
外務省設置法（昭和二十四年法律第百三十五号）の一部を次のように改正する。
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Establishment Law (Law No.135 of 1949) shall be partially amended as follows:
第五條第一項中「五局」を「六局」に、「 政務局 」を「 政務局 国際経済局 」に改める。
In Article 5 paragraph 1, "five bureaus" shall be amended as "six bureaus" and" Political Affairs Bureau "as" Political Affairs Bureau International Economic Affairs Bureau ".
第七條第一項第二号から第四号までを削り、同項第五号を同項第二号とし、以下三号ずつ繰り上げ、同條第二項中「前項第五号及び第六号」を「前項第二号及び第三号」に改め、同條の次に次の一條を加える。
In Article 7 paragraph 1 item (2) to item (4) inclusive shall be deleted, item (5) of the same paragraph shall be made item (2) of the same paragraph and the numbering of its succeeding items shall be moved up by three, and in paragraph 2 of the same Article, "items (5) and (6) of the preceding paragraph" shall be amended as "items (2) and (3) of the preceding paragraph" and the following one Article shall be added next to the same Article:
（国際経済局の事務）
(Functions of the International Economic Affairs Bureau)
第七條の二　国際経済局においては、左の事務をつかさどる。
Article 7-(2).　The International Economic Affairs Bureau shall take charge of the following affairs:
一　通商航海に関する利益を保護し、及び増進すること。
(1)　Protection and promotion of interests relating to the international trade and navigation;
二　国際経済機関との協力及び通商航海條約その他の通商経済上の協定に関すること。
(2)　Matters concerning the cooperation with international economic organizations, and commercial and economic agreements such as treaty of commerce and navigation and others;
三　国際経済事情の調査並びに国際経済に関する統計の作成及び資料の收集を行うこと。
(3)　Research of the international economic conditions and compilation of statistics and collection of data concerning international economy.
第十七條の表中「

」を「

」に改める。
In the list of Article 17,

附　則
Supplementary Provisions:
１　この法律は、公布の日から施行する。
1　This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
２　行政機関職員定員法（昭和二十四年法律第百二十六号）の一部を次のように改正する。
2　The Law for the Fixed Number of Personnel of Administrative Organs (Law No.126 of 1949) shall be partially amended as follows:
第二條第一項の表中「
