Law concerning Exceptions to the Date of the Usual Election of Members of the Board of Education, etc. for the Year 1950
（定例選挙の期日）
(Date of Usual Election)
第一條　公職選挙法（昭和二十五年法律第百号）第三十三條第六項の規定によつて昭和二十五年十月五日に行われるべき教育委員会の委員の定例選挙は、同項の規定にかかわらず、同年十一月十日に行う。
Article 1.　The usual election of members of the boards of education to be held on October 5, 1950 in accordance with the provision of Article 33 paragraph 6 of the Public Offices Election Law (Law No.100 of 1950) shall be held on November 10 of the same year, regardless of the provision of the same paragraph.

(Date of Election of Members of the Board of Education and Its Coming into Existence in Cities where it is Newly Established)
第二條　公職選挙法の施行及びこれに伴う関係法令の整理等に関する法律（昭和二十五年法律第百一号）第二十一條に規定する選挙で昭和二十五年十月五日に行われるべきものは、同條の規定にかかわらず、同年十一月十日に行う。
Article 2.　The election to be held on October 5, 1950 in accordance with the provision of Article 21 of the Law concerning Enforcement of the Public Offices Election Law and Adjustment and Others of Related Laws and Orders in Consequence thereof (Law No.101 of 1950), shall be held on November 10 of the same year, regardless of the provision of the same Article.
２　前項の規定による選挙が行われる市については、教育委員会法（昭和二十三年法律第百七十号）第八十八條第一項及び第二項中「十一月一日」とあるのは、昭和二十五年に限り、「十二月一日」と読み替えるものとする。
2　In regard to cities where the election as provided for in the preceding paragraph has been held, "November 1" in Article 88 paragraph 1 and of the Board of Education Law (Law No.170 of 1948) shall read "December 1," only in so far as 1950 is concerned.
（任期満了後における職務執行等）
(Execution of Duties after Expiration of Term, etc.)
第三條　教育委員会の委員で、昭和二十五年十月四日にその任期の満了する者は、引き続いて同年十一月九日まで委員としての職務を行うものとする。
Article 3.　A member of the board of education whose term of office expires on October 4, 1950 shall continue to execute his duties as a member until November 9 of the same year.
２　前二條の規定によつて選挙された教育委員会の委員の任期は、公職選挙法第二百五十八條第二項の規定にかかわらず、昭和二十五年十月五日から起算するものとする。
2　The term of office of the members of the boards of education who have been elected in accordance with the provisions of the preceding two Articles shall be computed as from October 5, 1950, regardless of the provision of Article 258 paragraph 2 of the Public Offices Election Law.
附　則
Supplementary Provisions:
１　この法律は、公布の日から施行する。
1.　This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
２　教育委員会法の一部を次のように改正する。
2.　The Boards of Education Law shall be partially amended as follows:
第七十條第一項中「昭和二十五年十一月一日」を「昭和二十五年十二月一日」に改める。
In Article 70 paragraph 1, "November 1, 1950" shall be amended as "December 1, 1950."
