Article 24. Of each publication coming under any of the following categories printed by or for any agency of the Government in an edition of five hundred (500) copies or more (except confidential matter, blank forms, models and other simple publication;the same shall apply hereinafter) thirty (30) copies shall be furnished immediately to the National Diet Library for its official use and for its use in international exchange for the publications of other governments and in other international exchanges. Of such works, printed in an edition of less than five hundred (500) copies, a number of copies less than thirty (30) copies shall be furnished to the National Diet Library in accordance with regulations to be made by the Chief Librarian. In cases where such works are printed in an edition of five hundred (500) copies or more, the Chief Librarian may, when he deems it necessary, request the deposit of copies more than thirty (30) and not more than fifty (50) thereof.
