I hereby promulgate the Law for Partial Amendments to the Law for Temporary Establishment of the Reparations Agency.

Law for Partial Amendments to the Law for Temporary Establishment of the Reparations Agency
The Law for Temporary Establishment of the Reparations Agency (Law No.3 of 1948) shall be partially amended as follows:
The following three items shall be added to Article 1:
(5) To make plans for the enforcement of the directives issued by the Stipreime Commander for the Allied Powers concerning the property in his custody (excluding the reparations equipment;hereinafter referred to to as "civil property" );
(6) To adjust, coordinate and expedite the affairs relative to civil property of the administrative organs concerned;
(7) To investigate, keep in custody and dispose the civil property (excepting matters coming under the jurisdiction of other administrative organs).
Article 2 paragraph 3 shall be deleted.
Article 3 shall be amended as follows:
Article 3. The Reparations Agency shall have one Deputy Director.
The Deputy Director shall assist the Director in the management of the affairs of the Agency.
The following seven Articles shall be added next to Article 3:
Article 4. The Reparations Agency shall have the Director's Secretariat and the following two Divisions:
Article 5. The Director's Secretariat shall take charge of the affairs relative to personnel, official documents, accounts and the miscellaneous affairs.
Article 6. The Reparations Division shall take charge of the affairs enumerated under Article 1 items (1) to (4) inclusive.
Article 7. The Civil Property Division shall take charge of the affairs enumerated under Article 1 items (5) to (7) inclusive.
Article 8. The Director of the Reparations Agency shall direct and supervise the chiefs of the Liaison and Coordination Offices concerning the business under his jurisdiction which is partly taken charge of by such offices.
2. The Director of the Reparations Agency shall direct and supervise the Chiefs of Finance Offices and the Chiefs of Taxation Offices concerning the business prescribed in Article 1 item (7), which is partly taken charge of by such offices.
Article 9. With respect to the appointment, dismissal, promotion, disciplinary punishment and other matters concerning the personnel administration of Reparations Agency, the provisions of the National Public Service Law (Law No.120 of 1947) shall apply.
Article 10. The fixed number of personnel of the Reparations Agency shall be prescribed by law separately.
Supplementary Provisions:
1 This Law shall come into force as from une 1, 1949.
2 The Enforcement Order for the Law for Temporary Establishment of the Reparations Agency (Cabinet Order No.21 of 1948) shall be abolished.
