教育委員会法の一部を改正する法律
Law for Partial Amendments to the Board of Education Law
教育委員会法（昭和二十三年法律第百七十号）の一部を次のように改正する。
The Board of Education Law (Law No.170 of 1948) shall be partially amended as follows:
第七十條を次のように改める。
Article 70 shall read as follows:
第七十條　大阪市、京都市、名古屋市、神戸市及び横浜市（五大市という。以下同じ。）を除く市町村の教育委員会の設置は、昭和二十七年十一月一日までに行わなければならない。但し、昭和二十四年及び昭和二十六年には行わないものとする。
Article 70.　The Boards of Education of cities, towns and villages except Osaka City, Kyoto City, Nagoya City, Kobe City and Yokohama City (hereinafter referred to as "the Five Big Cities" ) shall be established by November 1, 1952. However, they shall be established neither in 1949 nor in 1951.
２　前項の教育委員会の設置に関して必要な事項は、政令で定めることができる。
2　The necessary matters concerning the establishment of Boards of Education of the preceding paragraph may be provided for by Cabinet Order.
第八十六條を次のように改める。
Article 86 shall read as follows:
第八十六條　教科用図書の檢定は、第五十條第二号の規定にかかわらず、用紙割当制の廃止されるまで、文部大臣が行う。
Article 86.　In spite of the provisions of Item 2 of Article 50, the authorization of textbooks shall be made by the Minister of Education, until the paper-allocating system is abolished.
附　則
Supplementary Provision:
この法律は、公布の日から施行する。
This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
