Law for Partial Amendments to the Law governing JGR Fares and Charges
The following amendments shall be made to a part of the Law governing Japanese Government Railways Fares and Charges (Law No.112 of 1948):
Article 3, item 1 shall be amended as follows:
1 The rate for third-class passenger fares shall be \1.45 per operating kilometer up to 150 kilometers, and \1.05 for distances exceeding 150 kilometers.
The heading of Article 6 shall read "(Special Express, Express and Semi-Express Charges)" and in the same Article, "fares and charges for express and semi-express service" shall read "fares and charges for special express, express and semi-express service..."
Appended Tables I and II shall be amended as follows:

Supplementary Provision:
The present Law shall come into force as from May 1, 1949.
