Law amending the partial amendments to be made to the Mail Law and others
Article 1. The partial amendments shall be made to the Mail Law (Law No.165 of 1947) as follows:
In Paragraph 2 of Article 21,"1 yen 20 sen"shall read"5 yen."
In Paragraph 2 of Article 22,"50 sen"and"1 yen"shall read"2 yen"and"4 yen"respectively.
In Paragraph 4 of Article 23,"50 sen"and"15 sen"shall read"2 yen"and"50 sen,"respectively, and in Paragraph 5 of the same Article,"200 yen"shall read"800 yen."
In Paragraph 2 of Article 25,"100 yen"and"150 yen"shall read"400 yen"and"600 yen"respectively.
In Paragraph 2 of Article 26,"1 yen 20 sen"and"15 sen"shall read"4 yen"and"50 sen"respectively.
In Paragraph 2 of Article 27,"15 sen"shall read"50 sen."
In Paragraph 1 of Article 31,"5 yen"and"3 yen"shall read"20 yen"and"12 yen"respectively.
In Paragraph 3 of Article 34,"100 yen"shall read"400 yen."

The fee certification of delivery shall be 30 yen;the fee for the service provided in the preceding paragraph shall be 45 yen.

In Paragraph 4 of Article 64, and Paragraph 3 of Article 66,"10 yen"shall read"30 yen."
In Paragraph 2 of Article 68,"100 yen"shall read"400 yen."
Article 2. Partial amendments shall be made to the Postal Savings Law (Law No.144 of 1947) as follows:
In Paragraph 2 of Articles 18 and 39,"one yen"shall be amended to read"4 yen."
In Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Article 67,"two-thousandths"and"one sen"shall read"one hundredth"and"5 sen"respectively.
Article 3. Partial amendments shall be made to the Postal Money Order Law (Law No.59 of 1948) as follows:
In Paragraph 1 of Article 16,"5,000 yen and"1,000 yen"shall read"10,000 yen"and"2,000 yen"respectively.
Item 1 to Item 3 inclusive of Paragraph 1 of Article 17 shall read as follows:

In Paragraph 1 of Article 62,"one yen and fifty sen"shall read"two yen"and"two yen"shall Lead"eight yen"respectively.
Article 5. Partial amendments shall be made to Matters Relating to the Treatment of Frozen Payment under the Ordinance of Financial Emergency Measures (Cabinet Order No.1 of 1946) as follows:
In Item 1 of Article 2,"1,000 yen,"500 yen"and"2 yen"shall read"2,000 yen,""1,000 yen"and"10 yen"respectively. In Item 2 of the same Article,"5,000,"3,000 yen"and"25 yea"shall read"10,000 yen,""5,000 yen"and"100 yea"respectively.
Supplementary Provision:
This Law shall come into force as from July 10, 1948.
