I hereby promulgate the Law for Partial Amendments to the Law of Stamps for Civil Procedure and the Law of Stamps for Non-Contentious Matters as to Commercial Matters.

Law for Partial amendments to the Law of Stamps for Civil Procedure and the Law of Stamps for Non-Contentious Matters as to Commercial Matters
Article 1. The Law of Stamps for Civil Procedure (Law No.65, 1890) shall be partially amended as follows:
In Article 2, Paragraph 1,
"Value of Subject-matter Stamp up to 5 yen |

As regards those more than 5,000 yen, 10 yen shall be added for every 1,000 yen or fraction thereof for the portion more than 5,000 yen and up to 100,000 yen, 7 yen added for every 1,000 yen or fraction thereof for the portion more than 100,000 yen and up to 500,000 yen and 5 yen added for every 1,000 yen or fraction thereof for the portion more than 500,000 yen." |
In Article 3, Paragraph 1, "100 yen" shall read "6,000 yen."
In Article 6, "A motion for an order of payment shall, in case the value of a subject-matter is not exceeding 10 yen, put on a stamp of 20 sen and in case more than 10 yen," shall read "For a motion for an order of payment."
In Article 6-2, "20 yen" shall read "5,000 yen," 20 sen "read" 5 yen "and" 40 sen "read" 10 yen."
In Article 6-3, "20 yen" shall read "5,000 yen," "50 sen" read "10 yen" and "1 yen" read "20 yen" ;and item numbered 2 of the same Article shall be amended as follows:
Item numbered 5 of the sane Article shall be amended as follows:
In Article 10, "20 yen" shall read "5,000 yen," "20 sen" read "5 yen" and "25 sen" read "7 yen."
In Article 16, "20 yen" shall read "5,000 yen," "20 sen" read "5 yen," "25 sen" read "7 yen," "50 sen" read 10 yen "and" 1 yen "read" 20 yen."
Article 2. The Law of Stamps for Non-Contentious Matters as to Commercial Matters (Law No.66, 1890) shall be partially amended as follows:
In Article 2, "1 yen" shall read "20 yen."
In Article 3, "25 sen" shall read "7 yen."
Supplementary Provision:
The present Law shall come into force as from the day when thirty days will have elapsed from the day of its promulgation.
