I hereby give My sanction to the Law for Emergency Measures concerning the Compensation, etc. of Public Procurators for which the concurrence of the Imperial Diet has been obtained and cause the same to be promulgated.

This sixteenth day of the fourth month of the twenty-second year of Showa (April 16, 1947)
Article 1. The salary which the Procurator-General receives shall, for the time being, be determined by the Cabinet at an amount less than that paid to a Minister of State.
第二條 檢事総長以外の檢察官の受ける俸給の額は、当分の間、一般の官吏の受ける俸給の例による。
Article 2. The amount of salary which a Public Procurator except the Procurator-General receives shall, for the time being, be similar to that paid to ordinary Government officials.
Article 3. As regards matters except those provided in the preceding two Articles, the measures concerning the salary and allowances paid to ordinary Government officials shall, for the time being, be applied to the salary and allowances which a Public Procurator receives.
附 則
Supplementary Provisions:
この法律は、檢察廳法施行の日から、これを施行する。
The present Law shall come into effect as from the day when the Public Procurator's Office Law takes effect.
A person who has been appointed as a Public Procurator in accordance with the provision of Article 40 of the Public Procurator's Office Law shall receive, unless otherwise officially announced, the amount of salary which corresponds to what he receives when this Law comes into effect.
この法律は、昭和二十三年一月一日から、その効力を失う。
The present Law shall lose its effect as from January 1, 1948.
