I hereby give My Sanction to the Imperial Ordinance concerning the partial amendments to be made to the Midwives Regulations and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 417
The following amendments shall be made to a part of the Midwives Regulations:
In Article 1, Item 3 shall be deleted, and Item 4 shall read Item 3.
Article 21. A person, who has been given a licence of a midwife in Korea, Formosa or Kwantung Province, and is regarded to be proper by a local governor, may apply to register her name on the midwives list, in spite of the provisions of Article 1 for the time being.
Article 22. A person, who will apply to register her name on the midwives list, shall make an application along with a licence and a curriculum vitae, in spite of the provisions of Article 4, Paragraph 2.
Supplementary Provision:
The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
