I hereby give My Sanction, with the advice of the Privy Council, to the Regulations governing the Organization of the Price Board, and cause the same to be promulgated.

Organization of the Price Board
Art. 1. The Price Board shall, under the jurisdiction of the Prime Minister, take charge of the affairs of prices.
Art. 2. The Price Board shall have the following personnel;
Cabinet secretaries and technicians
1st class officials (full service) 3 persons
2nd class officials (,,) 79 persons
3rd class officials (,,) 129 persons
The post of the Director General shall be filled up by a State Minister.
Art. 3. The Price Board shall have the Directors General's Secretariat and three Divisions.
Business sphere of the Director General's Secretariat and each Division shall be prescribed by the Director General.
Art. 4. The Price Board shall have Councillors participating in business of the Board.
Councillors shall be appointed by the Cabinet from among 1st class officials of the government offices concerned and also from among learned and experienced persons in accordance with Prime Minister's recommendation to the Throne.
Councillors shall keep secrets available to them concerning their duties.
Art. 5. The Director general shall preside over business of the Board under the direction of the Prime Minister, and shall be in charge of the personnel of the Board, dealing with the advance and dismissal of 3rd class officials at his own discretion.
Art. 6. The Vice-Director shall assist the Director general and take charge of business of the Board.
Art. 7. The post of the Division Director shall be filled by 1st class cabinet secretaries or technicians.
The Division Directors shall take charge of business of the Divisions under the direction of their senior officials.
Art. 8. The Prime Minister may set up Local Price Bureaus, which, under the authority of the Price Board, shall be in charge of the execution of the business of the Price Board at such places as necessary.
Supplementary Provisions
This Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
The temporary organization of the Price Section of the Finance Ministry shall be abrogated.
The secretaries of the Finance Ministry who belong to the Price Section of the Finance Ministry at the time of the enforcement of this Ordinance, shall be regarded as appointed cabinet secretaries of the same ranks as the former, in case written appointments are not made.
The Ordinance relating to the ranks of the Shinnin-kan (officials directly appointed by H. M.) and various officials shall be revised as follows:
One item "vice-director of tho Price Board" shall be inserted next to the paragraph "Private Secretary to the President of the Reconstruction Board of war-damages" under the section of the "Cabinet" in the table classifying the Sinnin-kan (officials directly appointed by H. M.) and various official ranks.
