I hereby give Our sanction to the Imperial Ordinance concerning the Revision of the Official Organization of the Judicial Research Institute and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 269
Subject-The Official Organization of the Judicial Research Institute.
Article I. The Judicial Research Institute is under the Administration of the Minister of Justice, and what the Institute aims at is to improve personalities and cultivate Knowledge of Judges, Public Procurators, Candidates for Judicial Officials, Court Clerks and other Judicial Personnel and make them study Judicial Practices.
Article II. Personnel of the Institute is as follows.
Educational Officials
1 (Full Service) 1st Rank
Judicial Secretary (SHIHO-JIMU-KAN)
1 (Full Service) 2nd Rank
Article III. President of the Institute shall be appointed from among The Educational Officials of 1st Rank.
The President has at his command the General Business in the Institute under The Supervission of The Minister of Justice.
Article IV. Several Councillors shall be attached to the Institute and take part in the transaction of the Business Concerned.
The Councillors shall be appointed or entrusted by the Minister of Justice from among the officials of 1st Rank in The Ministry of Justice as well as those who have satisfactory experience and learing in Society.
Supplementary Provisions:
This Imperial Ordinance shall be put into operation from the date issued.
Regulations about the Classification of Official Salary concerning Officials of the Shinnin Rank and Other Officials shall be revised as follows:
Regarding the Paragraph of Educational Officials attached to the Section of the Ministry of Justice, set forth in the Classification of Official Salary, shall be revised as follows:
