Law for Partial Amendments to the Postal Transfer Savings Law
The Postal Transfer Savings Law (Law No.60 of 1948) shall be partially amended as follows:
Article 18 shall be amended as follows:
Article 18.(Charges for pay-in, transfer and pay-out) The charges for pay-in, transfer and pay-out are as follows:
1. Pay-in:
Ordinary pay-in:
Over \1,000 up to \10,000 \25
Telegraphic pay-in:
The total amount of the charge for ordinary pay-in and the amount fixed by Ministerial Ordinance in terms of the charge for telegraph.
2. Transfer:
Telegraphic transfer: The total amount of the charge for ordinary transfer and the amount fixed by Ministerial Ordinance in terms of the charge for telegraph.
3. Pay-out:
Ordinary cash payment:
Over \1,000 up to \10,000 \35
Over \10,000 up to \100,000 \50
Telegraphic cash payment:
The total amount of the charge for ordinary cash payment and the amount fixed by Ministerial Ordinance in terms of the charge for telegraph.
The charge for check payment subject to inquiry by telegraph concerning check payment shall be the total amount of the amount provided for in the preceding paragraph and the amount fixed by Ministerial Ordinance in terms of the charge for telegraph.
In the heading of Article 19, "pay-in and pay-out" shall be amended as "pay-in, transfer and pay-out" ;in paragraph 1 of the same Article, "an account owner makes a pay-in to his own account" shall be amended as "an account owner makes a pay-in to his own account at one post office designated by him in advance" , "in case of making telegraphic pay-in, seventy yen" as "in case of making telegraphic pay-in to his own account at one post office designated by him in advance, the amount fixed by Ministerial Ordinance under paragraph 1 item 1 of the preceding Article" , and "the amount resulted from the deduction of the charge for check payment prescribed in Paragraph 1 of the preceding Article from that of Paragraph 3 of the same Article" as "the amount fixed by Ministerial Ordinance under paragraph 2 of the same Article" ;in paragraph 2 of the same Article, next to "collected from the account owner." shall be added "In this case, for the pay-out note issued in excess of the amount of limit in accordance with the provision of the proviso to Article 39, the charges shall be collected, considering that each pay-out note has been issued for every one hundred thousand yen or fraction thereof." ;and in paragraph 5 of the same Article, "the charges for telegraphic cash payment subject to" shall be amended as "the charges for telegraphic transfer, for telegraphic cash payment and for check payment subject to" .
In Article 20 paragraph 2, "the charge thereof" shall be amended as "the charges for ordinary pay-in and for pay-in to be made by the account owner to his own account" .
Article 39 shall be amended as follows:
Article 39.(Limit of amount of pay-out note) The amount of pay-out note shall not exceed one hundred thousand yen per note. However, this shall not apply to the pay-out note to be issued for the application for ordinary cash payment in which the account owner designates himself as a payee or for the application for the ordinary cash payment provided for in Article 19 paragraph 4.
In Article 49 paragraph 2, "ten yen" shall be amended as "twenty yen" .
Supplementary Provisions:
1 This Law shall come into force as from December 1, 1951.
2 The Postal Savings Law (Law No.144 of 1947) shall be partially amended as follows:
In Article 18 paragraph 2 and Article 39 paragraph 2, "ten yen" shall be amended as "twenty yen" .
