Law for Partial Amendment to the Ministry of Construction Establishment Law, etc. for Adjustment of Councils, etc.
(Partial Amendment to the Ministry of Construction Establishment Law)
Article 1. The Ministry of Construction Establishment Law (Law No.113 of 1948) shall be partially amended as follows:
The column of Land Survey Council and Civil Engineering Council in the table of Article 10 paragraph 1 shall be deleted, paragraphs 2 to 5 inclusive of the same Article shall be deleted, "paragraph 1" in paragraph 6 of the same Article shall be amended as "the preceding paragraph" , and the same paragraph shall be made paragraph 2 of the same Article.
The following one Article shall be added next to Article 19:
Article 20. The organ entered in the left column of the following table shall be established and continue to exist as an auxiliary organ of the Ministry proper till March 31, 1952, the purpose of the establishment being given in the right column of the said table:

To study and deliberate upon major matters concerning land survey, to make recommendations about such matters to administrative offices concerned, and to exercise other powers under the Land Survey Law (Law No.188 of 1949) |
(Partial Amendment to the Construction Contractors Law)
Article 2. The Construction Contractors Law (Law No.100 of 1949) shall be partially amended as follows:
In Article 28 paragraph 2 and Article 29, ", after obtaining an approval by the Central Contract Council or the Prefectural Construction Contract Council," shall be deleted.
In Article 32, "or Article 28 paragraph 1 (including the case where it is applicable correspondingly in item 4 of the same Article)" shall be amended as ", Article 28 paragraph 1 or 2 (including its mutatis mutandis application in paragraph 4 of the same Article) or in Article 29" .
In Article 33 paragraph 1, "making them determine concerning their approval of disposition to be done by the Minister of Construction or the prefectural governor and also of" shall be deleted.
In Article 37 paragraph 1, "four years" shall be amended as "six months" ;and the following proviso shall be added to paragraph 2 of the same Article:
However, he shall not be consecutively reappointed two or more times.
(Partial Amendment to the Architects Law)
Article 3. The Architects Law (Law No.202 of 1950) shall be partially amended as follows:
In Article 30 paragraph 1, "three years" shall be amended as "two years" .
Supplementary Provisions:
1 This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
2 As regards the application of the provision of Article 37 paragraph 1 of the Construction Contractors Law as amended to the persons who are members of the Construction Contractors Council at the time of enforcement of this Law, their term of office shall be reckoned as from the day of enforcement of this Law.
