Law for Partial Amendments to the Temporary Demand and Supply Adjustment Law
The Temporary Demand and Supply Adjustment Law (Law No.32 of 1946) shall be partially amended as follows:
In Article 1 paragraph 1 Item 1, "materials and goods" shall be amended as "materials and goods of extraordinary short supply" , Item 3 of the same paragraph shall be amended as follows, and Item 4 of the same paragraph shall be deleted:
3. Production (including processing and repair;hereinafter the same), transfer or delivery of materials and goods of extraordinary short supply based on the policies and plans determined by the President of the Economic Stabilization Board, or restriction or prohibition of such act.
In paragraph 2 of the same Article, "by orders requiring the production, shipment or transportation of materials and goods or the works of construction in regard to the matters mentioned in Item 3 of the preceding paragraph and by orders issued in regard to the matters mentioned in Item 4 of the preceding paragraph" shall be amended as "by orders requiring the production, transfer or delivery of materials and goods mentioned in Item 3 of the preceding paragraph" .
Article 2 shall be amended as follows:
Article 2. The Materials Demand and Supply Adjustment Council (hereinafter referred to as "the Council" ) shall be established within the Economic Stabilization Board.
The Council shall, in response to inquiry by the President of the Economic Stabilization Board, deliberate on the policies and plans determined by the President of the Economic Stabilization Board in accordance with the provisions of the preceding Article and report the result of the deliberation to the President of the Economic Stabilization Board.
The Council may, when it is specially necessary, make recommendations to the President of the Economic Stabilization Board in regard to the matters mentioned in the preceding paragraph.
The organization, functions and matters necessary for the operation of the Council shall be provided for by Cabinet Order.
In Article 3 paragraph 1, "as regards application of the provision of Article 1" shall be amended as "in conformity with the policies and plans as determined by the President of the Economic Stabilization Board."
In Article 7 paragraph 1, "orders issued concerning the transfer, delivery or lending of materials or equipment according to the provision of paragraph 1, item 4 of Article 1" shall be amended as "orders requiring the transfer or delivery of materials and goods in accordance with the provision of Article 1 paragraph 1 Item 3" , and "report of materials or equipments" shall be amended as "report on materials and goods" , and "the materials or equipments involved" shall be amended as "the materials and goods involved" , and "the same materials or equipments" shall be amended as "the same materials and goods" , and in paragraph 2 of the same Article, "the goods" shall be amended as "the materials and goods" .
In paragraph 2 of the Supplementary Provisions, "on April 1, 1951" shall be amended as "on April 1, 1952" .
Supplementary Provisions:
1 This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
2 The Economic Stabilization Board Establishmend Law (Law No.164 of 1949) shall be partially amended as follows:
