Law for Partial Amendments to the Horse Racing Law
The Horse Racing Law (Law No.158 of 1948) shall be partially amended as follows:
In Article 4 paragraph 1, "the Local Tax Law (Law No.110 of 1948)" shall be amended as "the Local Tax Law (Law No.226 of 1950)" and "and the surtax of the admission tax" in the same paragraph and in paragraph 2 of the same Article, shall be deleted.
In Article 9, "the amount represented by 25 per cent of the net proceeds" shall be amended as "the amount obtained by multiplying the amount of the net proceeds by the rate which the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry may fix within the limits of 15 per cent to 20 per cent" .
In Article 22, 'in Article 9, "25 per cent" shall read "29 per cent" ;'shall be deleted.
In Formula No.1 as provided for in Appendix No.2, "R:25/100 in case of the national horse racing;29/100 in case of the local horse racing." shall be amended as "R:The rate which the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry may fix in accordance with the provision of Article 9 (including the case where this applies mutatis mutandis in Article 22)" .
In Formula No.2 as provided for in Appendix No.2, "r:20/100 in case of the national horse racing;10/100 in case of the local horse racing." shall be amended as "r:10/100" .
Supplementary Provisions:
1. This Law shall come into force after the expiration of ten days reckoning from the day of its promulgation.
2. With regard to the application to the local horse racing of the amended provisions of Article 9 of the Horse Racing Law, which applies mutatis mutandis in Article 22 of the same Law, and of Appendix No.2, To, Do, Fu or prefecture of the designated city, town or village may apply the former provisions up to December 31, 1951, as provided for by its by-laws.
