Law for Partial Amendments to the Unemployment Insurance Law
The Unemployment Insurance Law (Law No.146 of 1947) shall be partially amended as follows:
In Article 10 item (3), next to "insured persons under the Seamen's Insurance" , "(excluding the insured persons stipulated in Article 20 paragraph 1 of the Seamen's Insurance Law (Law No.73 of 1939)" shall be added.
In Article 31, the proviso shall be deleted.
In Article 34-(4) paragraph 3, "paragraph 2 of the same Article" shall be amended as "paragraph 3 of the same Article."
In Article 38-(6) paragraph 1, "for 32 or more days," shall be amended as "for 28 or more days."
In Article 38-(9) paragraphs 1 and 2, "for 32 days," shall be amended as "for 28 days," and in paragraph 5 of the same Article, "for seven days in total or for five continuous days," shall be amended as "for six days in total or four continuous days," and paragraph 6 of the same Article shall be amended as follows:
In cases where the Minister of Labor has found at the end of each month that the difference between the total amount of the premium already collected and the amount equal to two-thirds (2/3) of the total amount of the benefit payments already paid has exceeded one hundred-hundredths (100/100) of the total amount of the benefit payments which have been paid during the four months comprising the same month and the preceding three months, or that the said difference has become less than fifty-hundredths (50/100) of the said amount, he shall reduce or add one day respectively in terms of the six days in total or the continuous four days under the preceding paragraph (in case the number of days has been changed in accordance with the provisions of this paragraph, the number of days so changed).
In Article 38-(11) paragraph 3, "The total amount of benefit money paid-" shall be amended as "the sum equal to two-thirds (2/3) of the total amount of benefit paymant paid-."
In Article 38-(13) paragraph 3, "paragraph 2 of the same Article" shall be amended as "paragraph 3 of the same Article."
The following one paragraph shall be added to Article 38-(15):
In cases where the daily amount of wage under the provisions of Article 17-(2) is calculated in regard to the persons who have come under the provisions of Article 15 paragraph 1, because the two months preceding the month to which belongs the day they have become unemployed has been calculated as the period for being insured in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the amount obtained by dividing the amount of the permium paid in each of such two months by two-hundredths (2/100) shall be regarded as the amount of the wage paid in each of such months respectively.
Supplementary Provision:
This Law shall come into force as from August 1, 1950.
