I hereby promulgate the Law for Partial Amendments to the Temporary Restaurant Business Control Law.

Law for Partial Amendments to the Temporary Restaurant Business Control Law
The Temporary Restaurant Business Control Law (Law No.52 of 1949) shall be partially amended as follows:
In Article 8 paragraph 1, "in exchange for meal-coupons" in item (2) shall be amended as "in exchange for meal-coupons or vermicelli purchase coupons" , and "staple food or specified in Article 2 of the Food Management Law (Law No.40 of 1942) and items processed or cooked therefrom (hereinafter referred to as designated staple food)" in item (4) of the same paragraph shall be amended as "designated staple food (designated staple food shall mean staple food as provided for in Article 2 of the Food Management Law (Law No.40 of 1942) and items processed or cooked therefrom, except those whose sale is not restricted in accordance with the provisions of the same Law or orders issued under the same Law and those which have been acquired and processed or cooked by the restaurant operator in conformity with the provisions of the same Law or orders issued thereunder)" , and "non-alcoholic beverages" in item (5) of the same paragraph, as "alcoholic and other beverages" .
Article 6 shall be amended as follows:
(Restriction on the Designated Staple Food)
Article 6. No one engaged in restaurant business shall serve designated staple food.
Article 7 shall be amended as follows:
Article 7. No one engaged in hotel and inn or meal-coupon restaurant business shall serve food unless in exchange for meal-coupons, and no one engaged in noodle meal-coupon restaurant business shall serve the same unless in exchange for meal-coupons or vermicelli-purchase coupons.
In Article 10 and Article 11 paragraph 2, "or vermicelli-purchase coupons" shall be added next to "meal or grocery coupons" .
In paragraph 2 of the Supplementary Provisions, "on whichever date is earlier, May 1, 1950 or the day of abolition of the Economic Stabilization Board" shall be amended as "May 1, 1951" .
Supplementary Provisions:
1. This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
2. As for the application of penal provisions to the unlawful act committed prior to the enforcement of this Law, the precedents under the former provisions shall still apply.
