Law for Partial Amendment to the Postal Transfer Savings Law
The Postal Transfer Savings Law (Law No.60 of 1948) shall be partially amended as follows:
In Article 27 paragraph 4, "The forms of paragraph 2, excepting that of pay in slip" shall be amended as "the forms of paragraph 2."
Article 48 paragraph 2 shall be amended as follows, and paragraph 3 shall be deleted:
In case an account owner or a payee was unable to make an application for the payment or the return of amount of pay-out within the period of validity under the preceding paragraph owing to causes not attributable to him, the period during which he could not make the application due to the said causes, shall not be counted into the period of validity under the said paragraph. The same shall apply to the period that elapsed owing to the delay in the payment of the amount of pay-out in the case provided for in Article 16.
Article 51 paragraph 2 shall be amended as follows:
The charge for the pay-out under the provision of the preceding paragraph shall be the same as that for the ordinary transfer, and the Post Office Line Insurance Bureau shall pay it.
In Article 53, "the Chest of Pension" shall be amended as "the People's Finance Corporation."
In Article 62 paragraph 1, "two yen" shall be amended as "five yen."
Supplementary Provision:
This Law shall come into force as from April 1, 1950. However, the revised provision of Article 53 shall apply, retrospectively, as from June 1, 1949.
