Law concerning Indictment for Impeachment of the Commissioners of the National Personnel Authority
(Decision of the Diet)
Article 1. It shall require the decision of the Diet to indict a Commissioner or Commissioners of the National Personnel Authority for impeachment.

Article 2. The Speaker of the House of Representatives shall represent the Diet with respect to the indictment of a Commissioner or Commissioners of the National Personnel Authority for impeachment.
(Designation and Authority of Member conducting Lawsuit)
Article 3. In case an indictment of a Commissioner or Commissioners of the National Personnel Authority for impeachment has been instituted, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, upon consultation with the President of the House of Councillors, may designate a member or members of the House of Representatives or the House of Councillors in order to cause them to conduct the lawsuit.
2 The members designated as provided for in the preceding paragraph shall be vested with power for conducting all the acts on legal proceedings in respect to the lawsuit concerned.
3 The members designated as provided for in paragraph 1 shall consult with the Speaker of the House of Representatives on the appointment of process-attorneys and other important affairs.

Article 4. The Speaker of the House of Representatives, when he deems it necessary, may, upon consultation with the president of the House of Councillors, cancel the designation as provided for in paragraph 1 of the preceding Article.
2 The members who have been designated as provided for in paragraph 1 of the preceding Article may, with the permission of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, be relieved of the designation.

Article 5. When the term of office of the members of the House of Representatives has expired, or when the House of Representatives has been dissolved, the President of the House of Councillors shall exercise the power of the Speaker of the House of Representatives as provided for in this Law until the Speaker of the House of Representatives is newly elected.
(Enactment of Regulations for Indictment Procedures)
Article 6. The special regulations concerning the procedures for indictment of a Commissioner or Commissioners of the National Personnel Authority for impeachment shall be determined by decision of both Houses.
Supplementary Provision:
This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
