Law for Partial Amendments to Law for Allowances to Special Non-Repatriates
特別未帰還者給與法（昭和二十三年法律第二百七十九号）の一部を次のように改正する。
The Law for Allowances to Special Non-Repatriates (Law No.279 of 1948) shall be partially amended as follows:
第一條中「ソビエト社会主義共和国連邦の地域内において未復員者と同様の実情にあるもの」を「ソビエト社会主義共和国連邦、樺太、千島、北緯三十八度以北の朝鮮、関東州、満洲又は中国本土、（主務大臣の指定する地域を除く。）の地域内において、ソビエト社会主義共和国連邦の地域内の未復員者と同様の実情にあるもの」に改める。
In Article 1, "one who is under similar circumstances as the undemobilized person within the dominions of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics" shall be amended as "one who is in the areas of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, Saghalien, Kurile Islands, Korea north of lat.38°N., Kuantungchou, Manchuria or China proper (with the exception of areas designated by the competent Minister), and who is under similar circumstances as the undemobilized person within the area of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics."
附　則
Supplementary Provisions:
１　この法律は、公布の日から施行し、昭和二十四年十一月一日から適用する。
1.　This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation, and shall apply as from November 1, 1949.
２　この法律によつて新たに追加される地域内において第一條の規定に相当した者であつて、昭和二十四年一月一日から同年十月三十一日までに帰国したものに対しては、未復員者給與法の一部を改正する法律（昭和二十三年法律第二百七十七号）附則第二條から第五條までの規定の例に準じ、療養を行い、並びに遺骨の埋葬に要する経費及び障害一時金を支給する。この場合において、これらの規定中「この法律施行前」とあるのは「昭和二十四年十月三十一日以前」と、「この法律施行の日」とあるのは「昭和二十四年十一月一日」と、「昭和二十三年八月三十一日」とあるのは、「昭和二十四年十月三十一日」と、「同年九月一日」とあるのは「同年十一月一日」と、「乙に定める金額」とあるのは「甲に定める金額」とそれぞれ読み替えるものとする。
2.　To one who comes under the provisions of Article 1 within any area added by this Law and who has been repatriated during the period from January 1, 1949 to October 31, 1949, the provisions of Article 2 to Article 5 inclusive of the Supplementary Provisions of the Law amending a Part of the Law concerning Undemobilized Persons'Compensation (Law No.277 of 1948) shall apply mutatis mutandis, and medical treatment, expense necessary for burial of ashes and lump sum grant for disability shall be provided. With regard to this case, in these provisions, "on or before August 31, 1948" shall read "prior to October 31, 1949," and "enforcement of this Law," shall read "November 1, 1949" and "August 31, 1948," shall read "October 31, 1949" and "September 1, 1948" shall read "November 1 of the same year" and "A lump sum as prescribed under Category B" shall read "A lump sum as prescribed under Category A" respectively.
