I hereby promulgate the Law for the Abolition of the Publication Law and the Press Law.

Law for the Abolition of the Publication Law and the Press Law
The Publication Law (Law No.15 of 1893) and the Press Law (Law No.41 of 1909) shall be abolished.
Supplementary Provisions:
1. This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
2. The Law concerning the Publication by Subscription (Law No.55 of 1910) shall partially be amended as follows:
"The Minister for Home Affairs" and "the competent local administrative authorities" shall respectively read "the Minister of Education" and "the competent prefectural board of education."
In Article 1, "shall conform to this Law in addition to the publication Law" shall read "shall conform to this Law" .
Article 3 shall be amended as follows:
In Article 11, paragraph 2, "Article 3 or" shall be deleted.
In Article 13, "newspapers, magazines published in accordance with the provisions of the proviso to Article 2 of the Publication Law" shall read "newspapers, those magazines which are devoted to science, art, statistics, advertisement or the like, other magazines which are published periodically" .
