I hereby promulgate the Law for Partial Amendments to the Law concerning the Family Registration of the Person who has lost or acquired the Membership of the Imperial Family.

Law for Partial Amendments to the Law concerning the Family Registration of the Person who has lost or acquired the Membership of the Imperial
A part of the Law concerning the Family Registration of the Person who has lost or acquired the Membership of the Imperial Family (Law No.111 of 1947) shall be amended as follows:
The following one paragraph shall be added to Article 1:
In case any person who has lost the membership of the Imperial Family together with the person mentioned in Par.1 in accordance with the provisions of Art.13 of the Imperial House Law has a spouse or child who has lost the membership of the Imperial Family simultaneously in accordance with the said Article, a new Family-register shall be prepared for the husband and his wife (if one has no spouse, for the person) irrespective of the provisions of the preceding paragraph, and their child shall be entered in their Family-register.
In Par.2 of Art.2, "for her lineal ascendant pursuant to the provisions of Art.1, Par.1" shall read "for her father and mother pursuant to the provisions of Par.1 or 3 of the preceding Article," and in Par.3 of Art.2, "or the person has made an application for the preparation of a new Family-register" shall be added after "the Family-register to be entered in has been detached from the Registration Book."
In Art.3, "for her lineal ascendant in accordance with the provisions of Art.1, Par.1" shall read "for her father and mother in accordance with the provisions of Par.1 or 3 of Art.1" and the following one paragraph shall be added to Art.3:
The provisions of Par.3 of the preceding Article shall apply with necessary modifications to the case mentioned in the proviso to the preceding paragraph.
Arts.5 to 7 inclusive shall read as follows:
Article 5. Any person for whom a new Family-register is prepared in accordance with the provisions of Art.1, Par.1 or 3, or Art.2, Par.3, shall, within ten days, make notification in writing, stating the cause for and the date of the loss of the membership of the Imperial Family. In this case, documents proving the cause for the loss of the membership of Imperial Family shall be attached to the written notification.
Article 6, A female person who is to be entered in a Family-register in accordance with the provisions of Art.2, Par.1 or 2 shall, within ten days, make notification in writing, stating the cause for and the date of the entry into the Family-register. In this case, documents proving the cause for the entry shall be attached to the written notification.
Article 7. A relative up to the fourth degree of relationship of a female person to be struck off a Family-register in accordance with the provisions of Art.4, shall, within ten days, make notification in writing, stating the cause for and the date of the struck off. In this case, documents proving the cause for the struck off shall be attached to the written notification.
Supplementary Provision:
The present Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
