I hereby promulgate the Law for Partial Amendment to the Law of Temporary Measures relating to the Costs of Action and Others.

Law for Partial Amendment to the Law of Temporary Measures relating to the Costs of Action and Others
A part of the Law of Temporary Measures relating to the Costs of Action and Others (Law No.2 of 1944) shall be amended as follows:
The following one Article shall be added next to Article 5:
Article 6. The annual amount of pension to be paid to bailiff shall be calculated on the basis that the amount fixed by the Cabinet Order mentioned in the preceding Article be regarded as salary amount.
Supplementary Provisions:
1. The present Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation and shall apply as from July 1, 1948.
2. As to the pension for bailiff who was already entitled to pension on or before June 30, 1948, the calculation of its annual amount in and before September, 1948 shall still be governed by the provisions hitherto in force.
3. In regard to the pension referred to in the preceding paragraph, the annual amount of pension in and after October, 1948 shall be revised to the annual amount calculated on the basis of 15,840 yen regarded as salary amount per annum.
4. In revising the annual amount of pension in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the Deciding Office shall do it with out the application of pensioner.
