I hereby promulgate the Law for Partial Amendments to the Law concerning the Annual Payment, Travelling Expenses and other Allowances to the Diet Members.

國会議員の歳費、旅費及び手当等に関する法律の一部を改正する法律
Law for Partial Amendments to the Law concerning the Annual Payment, Travelling Expenses and other Allowances to the Diet Members
國会議員の歳費、旅費及び手当等に関する法律（昭和二十二年法律第八十号）の一部を次のように改正する。
Part of Law concerning the Annual Payment, Travelling Expenses and other Allowances to the Diet Members shall be amended as follows:
第一條を次のように改める。
Article 1 shall be amended as follows:
第一條 各議院の議長は歳費として月額四万円、副議長は三万二千円、議員は二万八千八百円を受ける。
Article 1. The Speaker or the President of each House shall be paid forty thousand (40,000) yen a month, the Vice-Speaker or the Vice-President thirty-two thousand (32,000) yen, and a Member of the Diet twenty-eight thousand eight hundred (28,800) yen as annual payment.
第十條中「月額五千円」を「月額七千円」に改める。
In Article 10, "five thousand (5,000) yen" a month shall read "seven thousand (7,000) yen" a month.
This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation;and the amended provisions of Articles 1 and 10 shall apply as from November 1, 1948.
The annual allowance and the salary which the Speaker or the President, the Vice-Speaker or the Vice-President, the Member of the Diet, and the Secretary has respectively received since November 1, 1948 shall be deemed as part payment of the annual allowance and the salary in accordance with this Law.
