I hereby promulgate the Law for Partial Amendment to the Law concerning the Temporary Measures for the Designation of Judicial Police Officials, etc.

The Law for Partial Amendment to the Law concerning the Temporary Measures for the Designation of Judicial Police Officials, etc.
A part of the Law concerning the Temporary Measures for the Designation of Judicial Police Officials, etc.(Law No.234 of 1948) shall be amended as follows:
The following Article shall be added next to Article 2.
Article 3. An Imperial Guard shall, as prescribed by the National Public Safety Commission, Perform the duties as a judicial police official provided in the Code of Criminal Procedure (Law No.131 of 1948), in regard to crimes committed in the Imperial Palace, Gosho (Palace), Detached Palace, Imperial Villa, Emperor's Temporary Palace or Place of Sojourn, crimes relating to Imperial Graves and Imperial House Use properties and crimes against the life, person, or properties of the Emperor, Empress, Empress Dowager or Heirapparent when making official visits.
Judicial police officials prescribed in the preceding paragraph and other judicial police officials shall cooperate and coordinate with each other in discharging their duties.
Supplementary Provision:
The present Law shall come into force as from the day (January 1, 1949) when the Law for the Amendments to the Code of Criminal Procedure (Law No.131 of 1948) is enforced.
