I hereby promulgate the Law concerning the Exception to the Tenure of Office and others of Members of City, Town or Village Agricultural Land Commission and of Members of Metropolitan, Hokkaido or Prefectural Agricultural Land Commission.

Law concerning the Exception to the Tenure of Office and Others of Members of City, Town or Village Agricultural Land Commission and of Members of Metropolitan, Hokkaido or Prefectural Agricultural Land Commission
Article 1 The tenure of office of those persons who, at the enforcement of this Law, are members of City, Town or Village Agricultural Land Commissions or of members of Metropolitan, Hokkaido or Prefectural Agricultural Land Commissions, shall notwithstanding the provisions of the Agricultural Laws Adjustment Law (Law No.67 of 1938) expire on June 30, 1949.
Article 2. Both the list of electors prepared on the date specified by the Metropolitan, Hokkaido or Prefectural Governor concerned in accordance with the provision of Par.4 of the Supplementary Provisions to the Imperial Ordinance Amending Part of the Ordinance concerning the Enforcement of the Agricultural Land Adjustment Law (Imperial Ordinance No.556:1946), and the supplementary list of electors prepared in accordance with the provisions of Art.5 of Supplementary Provisions to the Cabinet Order Amending Part of the Ordinance concerning the Fnforcement of the Agricultural Land Adjustment Law (Cabinet Order No.35 of 1948), there shall remain intact as far as June 30, 1949.
Article 3. Any election or any demand for reelection to be made on and after the date whereon this Law comes into force until June 30, 1949, of members of City, Town or Village Agricultural Land Commission or of members of Metropolitan, Hokkaido or Prefectural Agricultural Land Commission, shall be made on the basis of the list of electors or the supplementary list of electors prescribed in the preceding Article.
2 So far as the election or the demand for re-election mentioned in the preceding paragraph is concerned, any one of the categories mentioned in each item of Art.15-(2), Par.3 of the Agricultural Land Adjustment Law, shall be any one of the categories registered in the list of electors and the supplementary list of electors mentioned in the preceding paragraph.
Article 4. Metters necessary for the enforcement of this Law shall be determined by the Cabinet Order concerned.
Supplementary Provision:
This present Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
