I hereby promulgate the Law concerning the partial amendments of the School Education Law and Law concerning the Treasury's share of compulsory education expenses.

Law concerning the partial amendments of the School Education Law&Law concerning the Treasury's share of compulsory education expenses
Article 1. The following partial amendments shall be made to the School Education Law (Law No.26, 1847).
In Article 60 and Paragraph 2 of Article 68, "University Chartering Committee (IinKai)" shall read "Evaluation Committee for Chartering of Universities (Shingi Kai)."
In Article 93 and Paragraph 2 of Article 96, "Imperial Ordinance" shall read "Cabinet Order."
The following two paragraphs shall be added to Article 93.
In the year 1948, the obligation of the guardians to send their children to the schools for the blind and for the deaf as stipulated in the proviso to the preceding paragraph, shall last till the end of the school year, in which their children attain full 7 years of age.
For the time being the provisions concerning the obligation of the guardians to send their children to the schools for the blind and for the deaf, stipulated in Paragraph 1 of Article 22, in and after the year, 1949, shall be provided for by the Cabinet Order.
Article 2. The following partial amendments shall be made to the Law concerning the Treasury's share of compulsory education expenses (Law No.22, 1940).
In Article 1, "and lower secondary schools" shall read "lower secondary schools, schools for the blind, and schools for the deaf" , and "(with the exception of those designated by the Imperial Ordinance)" shall be deleted, and "and the travelling expenses which are provided for by Imperial Ordinance" shall read "travelling expenses, family allowance, area allowance, retirement allowance and day and night duty allowance provided for by the Cabinet Order."
The following paragraph shall be added to the same Article.
The scope, full number and amount of compensation of the personnels of the preceding paragraph shall be provided for by Cabinet Order.
Supplementary Provision:
The present Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation, and be applicable as from April 1, 1948. However, the amended provisions of Article 60 and Paragraph 2 of Article 68 of the School Education Law, shall come into force as from the day of enforcement of the National Administrative System Law.
