Law concerning the Partial Amendment to the Foodstuff Control Special Account Law
The Foodstuff Control Special Account Law (Law No.37 of 1921) shall be partially amended as follows:
In Article 4-(2), "forty billion yen" shall read "one hundred and twenty billion yen."
Article 4-(3) The Government may authorize banks (exclusive of the Bank of Japan. Hereinafter the same), agricultural cooperations and agricultural associations to manage a part of business related to payment of purchasing price for foodstuff.
In case of the preceding paragraph, the Government may grant the fund to the Bank of Japan or the Central Bank for Agriculture and Forestry and authorize them to grant the fund necessary for the present payment of purchasing price for foodstuff made by banks and agricultural cooperations or associations.
The Central Bank for Agriculture and Forestry may, regardless of the provisions of Article 16 of the Central Bank for Agriculture and Forestry Law (Law No.24 of 1923), manage business related to granting the fund under the preceding paragraph.
In Article 6 "and accessory sundry receipts" shall read "money paid under the provisions of Article 30-(3) Paragraph 5 of the Foodstuff Control Law (Law No.40 of 1942) and accessory sundry receipts" and "Grants to the Foodstuff Distribution Kodan (Public Corporation)" shall be added after "various expenses concerning transportation."
Supplementary Provision:
This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation;provided that amended provisions of Article 6 shall apply to money paid and grants for the fiscal year 1948-1949 and the following fiscal years.
