I hereby give My sanction to the Imperial Ordinance concerning the designation of enforcement day of a part of the National Medical Treatment Law and cause the same to be promulgated.

This thirtieth day of the fourth month of the twenty-second year of Showa (April 30, 1947)
The part relating to the midwife and nurse, in the provisions of Chapter 4 and Articles 76 to 78 inclusive of the National Medical Treatment Law, shall come into force as from May 2, 1947.
