I hereby give My sanction to the Regulations for Imperial Palace Guard Officials Uniform and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 184
The Regulations for Imperial Palace Guard Official Uniform
Article 1. As for the uniform for the Imperial Palace Guard Official, the provisions concerning the Police Official of the Regulations for Police and Fire Official uniforms except the section of Police Official, Insignia, shall be applied. However, in the same provisions, "Director of Police Division," shall read "Director of Imperial Palace Police Division," "Police Superintendent" shall read "Imperial Palace Police Superintendent," Police Inspector" shall read "Imperial Palace Police Inspector," "Assistant Police Inspector" shall read "Imperial Palace Assistant Police Inspector," "Police Sergeant" shall read "Imperial Palace Guardian Sergeant" and "Policeman" shall read "Imperial Palace Guardian"
Article 2. Besides those provided in the preceding Article, Imperial palace guard official shall put an arm-band made by cotton on which a pattern of paulownia appears on the upper part of the grade insignia fixed on the left sleeve of coat.
The figure and size of the arm-band in the preceding paragraph shall be shown in the illustration.

Supplementary Provisions:
The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
The uniform settled by the former Regulations may be used for the time being.
A part of the Regulations for Metropolitan Police Board Imperial Palace Police Department Establishment is hereby amended as follows:
Provisions on the uniform to be used for Imperial palace guard official among the Additional Rules shall be deleted.
A part of the Imperial Ordinance No. 629 of 1946 (the Imperial Ordinance to apply "the Regulations for Supplied and Loaned Articles for the Policeman" to Imperial Palace Assistant Police Inspector and Imperial Police Guardian) shall be amended as follows:
The proviso shall be deleted.
