I hereby give My sanction to the Imperial Ordinance concerning the partial amendments relating to Charges in regard to the Mining Industry and Alluvial Mining Industry of the Imperial Ordinance No. 184 of 1905, and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 170
The following amendments shall be made to a part of the Imperial Ordinace No. 184 of 1905:
Article 1.　Persons who make an application, request or report concerning the Mining Industry shall pay charges in compliance with the following classification:
1.　Application for prospecting　　250 yen for each item
2.　Application for change made in areas applied for prospecting:
a. Extension of area, or extension and reduction effected in the same area　　150 ,,
b. Reduction of area　　25 ,,
3.　Application for change of prospecting mining area:
a. Extension of area, or extension and reduction effected in the same area　　180 ,,
b. Reduction of area　　30 ,,
c. Revision (excepting case of error caused by mistake made on the part of the Administrative Government Office)　　25 ,,
4.　Report of change of applicant for prespecting:
a. Inheritance　　10 ,,
b. Change caused by other than inheritance　　125 ,,
5.　Application for mining　　375 ,,
6.　Application for change made in area applied for mining:
a. Extension of area, or extension and reduction effected in the same area　　250 ,,
b. Reduction of area　　25 ,,
7.　Application for change of mining area:
a. Extension of area, or extension and reduction effected in the same area　　300 ,,
b. Reduction of area　　30 ,,
c. Correction of mining area　　180 ,,
d. Revision (excepting case of error caused by mistake made on the part of the Administrative Government Office)　　25 ,,

Each item contained in paragraph 1 of Article 1-(2) shall be amended as follows:
Persons who make a request or application for the leasehold shall pay charges in compliance with the following classification:
1.　Request for permission for establishment of leasehold of which object is acquisition of prospecting right　　50 yen for each item
2.　Request for permission for change of leased mining areas of leasehold of which object is acquisition of prospecting right: a. Extension of area, or extension and reduction effected in the same area　　50 ,,
b. Reduction of area　　5 ,,
c. Revision (excepting case of error caused by mistake made on the part of the Administrative Government Office)　　5 ,,
3.　Request for permission for transfer of leasehold of which object is acquisition of prospecting right　　50 ,,
4.　Request for permission for cancellation prior to the expiration of the duration of leasehold of which object is acquisition of prospecting right　　5 ,,
5.　Request for permission for curtailment of the duration of leasehold of which object is acquisition of prospecting right　　5 ,,
6.　Request for permission for renewal of the duration of leasehold of which object is acquisition of prospecting right　　50 ,,
7.　Request for permission for establishment of leasehold of which object is acquisition of mining right　　75 ,,
8.　Request for permission for change of leased mining areas within the leasehold of which object is acquisition of mining right:

In paragraph 1 of Article 2 and Article 4 "50 sen" shall read "5 yen," "2 yen 50 sen" shall read "20 yen," and "25 sen" shall read "3 yen".
Paragraph 1 of Article 3 shall be amended as follows:
Persons who make an application, request or return concerning the alluvial Mining Industry shall pay charges in compliance with following classification:
1.　Application for alluvial mining　　75 yen for each item
2.　Application for extension of applied alluvial mining area or extension and reduction effected in the same applied alluvial mining area　　50 ,,
3.　Application for reduction of applied alluvial mining area　　5 ,,
4.　Application for extension of alluvial mining area, or for extension or reduction effected in the same alluvial mining area　　60 ,,
5.　Application for reduction of alluvial mining area　　6 ,,
6.　Application for correction of alluvial mining area (excepting case of error caused by mistake made on the part of the Administrative Government Office)　　5 ,,
7.　Application for amalgamation or partition of alluvial mining areas　　10 ,,
8.　Report of change of applicant for alluvial mining:
a. Inheritance　　10 ,,
b. Change caused by other than inheritance　　125 ,,
9.　Application for actual investigation of alluvial mining area　　150 ,,

Supplementary provision:
The present Ordinance shall come into force as from May 1, 1947.
