I hereby give My sanction to the Imperial Ordinance concerning the amendment to a part of Law No. 44 of 1945 concerning the abolition of National Mobilization Law and War-time Emergency Measures Law, under the Imperial Ordinance No. 542 of the twentieth year of Showa (1945) relating to the Orders to be issued in consequence of the Acceptance of the Potsdam Declaration, and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 109
A part of the Law No. 44 of 1945 shall be amended as follows:
In regard to paragraph 2 of Supplementary Provisions, "one year in the case of the War-time Shipping Control Ordinance and the Seamen's Mobilization Ordinance" shall read "one year and a half in the case of the War-time Shipping Control Ordinance."
Supplementary Provisions:
The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
The Seamen's Mobilization Ordinance shall apply to the lump-sum allowance stipulated in Article 18 thereof which is to be given on the basis of causes originating prior to the enforcement of this Imperial Ordinance.
