The Pension Law shall be partially amended as follows:
"Deciding Government offices" shall read "deciding offices" ; "Director of the Cabinet's Pension Bureau" shall read "Director of the Pension Bureau of the Prime Minister's Office" and "competent Government offices" shall read "competent offices."
In Article 16, Item 3, "national schools, Seinen-gakko (schools for young men and women), kindergartens, blind schools, deaf and dumb schools and other schools similar to national schools" shall read "primary schools, middle schools, blind schools, deaf schools, Yogo-gakko (Mentally defective schools, physically defective schools and the like) and kindergartens" and "or kindergartens" shall be deleted.
In Article 18, Paragraph 3, "national schools, Seinen-gakko, kindergartens, blind schools, deaf and dumb schools and other schools similar to national schools" shall read "primary schools, middle schools, blind schools, deaf schools, Yogo-gakko and kindergartens."
In Article 20, Paragraph 1, "persons who are Government officials" shall read "persons who are Government officials or officials of the Diet."
In Article 22, Paragraph 1, "kindergartens" shall be deleted;in Paragraph 2 of the same Article, "Government" shall read "State," and "or kindergartens" shall be deleted.
Item 2 of Article 23 shall be amended as follows:
2. Officials of the Diet who are sergeants-at-arms.
The following item shall be added to the same Article:
5. Local administrative officials who are assistant economic supervisors.
In Article 25, Item 1, "In the case of civil officials and members of an educational staff, it means'to be appointed to a Government office (ninkan)'" shall read "In the case of civil officials and members of an educational staff who are Government officials, it means'to be appointed to a Government office (ninkan)'" and "in the case of civil officials and members of an educational staff, who are not Government officials, it means'to be appointed (nimmei)'" and the proviso shall be deleted.
In Article 26, Paragraph 1, Item 1, "In the case of civil officials and members of an educational staff, it means'to be relieved of one's Government post (menshoku), ''to resign one's Government post (taikan)'or'to lose one's Government post (shikkan)'" shall read "In the case of civil officials and members of an educational staff, who are Government officials, it means'to be relieved of one's Government post (menshoku), ''to resign one's Government post (taikan)'or'to lose one's Government post (shikkan), '" and "in the case of civil officials and members of an educational staff, who are not Government officials, it means'to be relieved of one's post (menshoku), ''to resign one's post (taishoku) or'to lose one's post (shisshoku)'" ;the proviso shall be deleted;and in Paragraph 2 of the same Article, "who are Government officials" shall be deleted.
In Article 40, Paragraph 1, "Article 33, Article 38, and the preceding Article" shall read "the preceding two Articles."
In Article 49, Paragraph 2, "quasi-civil-officials and quasi-public-officials for whom no provision regarding classification of'ranks'does not exist."
In Article 51, the following two items shall be added to Paragraph 1:
3. When resigned in accordance with laws or orders for impeachment.
4. When auditors resigned for reason of breach of their duties in accordance with Article 6 of the Board of Audit Law.
In Article 59, Paragraph 2, "national schools, Seinen-gakko, kindergartens, blind schools, deaf and dumb schools and other schools similar to national schools" shall read "primary schools, middle schools, blind schools, deaf schools;Yogo-gakko and kindergartens" and "or kindergarten" shall be deleted.
In Article 62, Paragraph 3, "national schools," Seinen-gakko, kindergartens blind schools, deaf and dumb schools and other schools similar to national schools "shall read" primary schools, middle schools, blind schools, deaf schools, Yogo-gakko or kindergartens ";in Paragraph 4 of the same Article," middle schools or schools of which grade is the same with, or lower than, that of middle schools "shall read Koto-gakko (higher schools) or other similar schools" and Paragraph 5 of the same Article shall be deleted.
In Accompanying Tables Nos.2, 5, 6, 7, 8, "shinnin rank (rank for personal appointment by the Emperor)" shall be deleted.
