I hereby promulgate the Law regulating damage, etc. of the subsidiary coins.

補助貨幣損傷等取締法
Law Regulating Damage etc. of the Subsidiary Coins
補助貨幣は、これを損傷し又は鑄つぶしてはならない。
Subsidiary coins shall not be damaged or melted down.
補助貨幣は、これを損傷し又は鑄つぶす目的で集めてはならない。
Subsidiary currencies shall not be collected with the intention of damaging or melting them down.
第一項又は前項の規定に違反した者は、これを一年以下の懲役又は一万円以下の罰金に処する。
A person who violates the provision prescribed in the first or preceding paragraph shall be imprisoned for not exceeding 1 year or fined not exceeding 10,000 yen.
附 則
Supplementary Provisions:
この法律は、公布の日から、これを施行する。
The present Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
Ministry of Finance Ordinance No.40 (concerning the regulation on collecting, melting or damaging of the subsidiary coins) of the fifteenth year of Showa shall be abolished.
