I hereby promulgate the Law concerning a Special Allowance to the members of the National Diet.

LAW CONCERNING A SPECIAL ALLOWANCE TO THE MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL DIET
The President, Vice-President and Members of the two Houses shall each be paid a Special Allowance until otherwise changed by law. The Special Allowance shall be determined by the Joint Examination Committee of the House Management Committees of this Allowance, and the Annual Compensation paid to them shall be not less than the highest salary (excluding the Family Allowance) of the Government official in general.
The provisions contained in Arts.2 to 6 of the Law, No.80, of 1947 shall be applicable mutatis mutandis to the Special Allowance of the present enactment.
Supplementary Provision:
The present Law shall apply to a Special Allowances to be paid from May, 1947.
