I hereby give My Sanction to the Imperial Ordinance regarding the partial amendments to the Imperial Ordinance No. 354 of 1946, concerning the Exemption of Staple Food from Import Duty issued in accordance with the provisions of Article 12 of the Staple Food Administration Law and others and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 618
Article 1. The following amendments shall be made to part of the Imperial Ordinance No. 354 of 1946:
"the same year" shall read "1947."
In the Annexed Table, "5. Pease (Pisum sativum)" shall read
"5. Pease (Pisum sativum)
7. Other, excluding those for medicinal use,
" and "
4. Tapioca, manioca and sago
shall be deleted.
Article 2. The following amendments shall be made to part of the Imperial Ordinance No. 445 of 1946:
"1946" shall read "1947."
In the Annexed Table,
"22 Flours, meals or groats of grains and starches:
shall be deleted, "55 Condensed milk" shall read
" and "
67 Foods and drinks, not otherwise provided for 108 Animal fats" shall read "67 Foods and drinks, not otherwise provided for
120 of such oils, fats and waxes as not otherwise provided for, those for food
."
Supplementary Provisions:
The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
The commodities added by the provisions of Article 1 to the Annexed Table of the Imperial Ordinance No. 354 of 1946 shall, when imported on or after the day of enforcement of the present Ordinance, be exempted from import duty.
