I hereby give My Sanction to the Imperial Ordinance for the Abrogation of the Ship Protection Law and others under the Imperial Ordinance No. 542 of the 20th year of Showa (1945) concerning the Orders to be issued in consequence of the acceptance of the Potsdam Declaration and cause the same to be promulgated.

The following Laws and Ordinances shall be abrogated:
Ship Protection Law.
Law for the Summary Court-martial against the Crimes by the Military and Non-military Personnel of the Navy.
Imperial Ordinance for the Ship Protection in Kwantung Province and South Sea Islands.
Imperial Ordinance for the Temporary Pay for the Naval Units and Forces, Overseas.
Imperial Ordinance No. 19 of the thirty-seventh year of Meiji.
Imperial Ordinance No. 183 of the fourty-first year of Meiji.
Imperial Ordinance No. 619 of the seventeenth year of Showa.
Imperial Ordinance No. 624 of the seventeenth year of Showa.
Imperial Ordinance No. 366 of the eighteenth year of Showa.
Supplementary Provision:
The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
