審議経過

朕は、昭和二十年勅令第五百四十二號ポツダム宣言の受諾に伴ひ發する命令に關する件に基き、昭和二十一年勅令第九十六號衆議院議員選擧法第百一條ノ三及び第百四條の規定の適用に關する件の一部を改正する勅令を裁可し、ここにこれを公布せしめる。
I hereby give My Sanction to the Imperial Ordinance concerning the partial amendments of matters relating to the application of the provisions of Article 101-(3) and Article 104 of the Law for the Election of the Members of the House of Resentatives, the Imperial Ordinance No. 96, of the twenty-first year of Showa (1946) under the Imperial Ordinance No. 542 of the twentieth of Showa (1945) concerning Orders to be issued in consequence of Our Acceptance of the Potsdam Declaration and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 540
昭和二十一年勅令第九十六號の一部を次のやうに改正する。
The following amendments shall be made to a part of the Imperial Ordinance No. 96 of 1946.
「第百四條ノ規定」の下に「（他ノ法令ニ於テ準用スル場合ヲ含ム）」を加へ、「議員候補者」の下に、「東京都長官候補者、府縣知事候補者（道廳長官候補者ヲ含ム）、市長候補者若ハ區長候補者」を加へる。
Following "provisions of Article 104", shall be added "(including those cases of applying correspondingly to other Laws and Ordinances)"; and next to "candidates of the members," shall be added "candidates of Governor general of Tokyo-Metropolis, prefectural governors, including those of Governor-General of Hokkaido mayor or heads of wards."
附　則
Supplementary Provisions:
この勅令は、公布の日から、これを施行する。
The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
改正後の昭和二十一年勅令第九十六號の規定は、衆議院議員選擧法第百一條ノ三及び第百四條の規定を準用する選擧については、この勅令の公布の日から、これを適用する。
The provisions of the Imperial Ordinance No. 96 of 1946, after the present amendments, shall be applied as from the day of its promulgation, in regard to those elections to which are to be correspondingly applied to the provisions of Article 101 (3) and Article 104 of the Election Law for Members of the House of Representatives.
