I hereby give My Sanction to the Imperial Ordinance concerning the partial amendments of the Regulations governing the Organization of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 530
The following amendments are made to a part of the Regulations governing the Organizations of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Article 3. I the Ministry of Commerce and Industry shall be set up the following six Bureaus:
General Affairs Bureau
Machinery Bureau
Chemistry Bureau
Textile Bureau
Mining Bureau
Electric Power Bureau
Article 4. The General Affairs Bureau shall take charge of matters pertaining to general planning of the administration under its jurisdiction and synthetic coordination thereof, commercial and industrial affairs in general and the matters not coming under the jurisdiction of other bureaus.
Article 5. The Machinery Bureau shall take charge of matters pertaining to machinery and implements and any other matters not coming under the jurisdiction of other bureaus, pertaining to industrial products (exclusive of the matters pertaining to rolling stock, signal and safety preservation equipment for railway use, shipping and shipping equipments, and the matters pertaining to distribution and consumption of goods exclusively used in agriculture, forestry, live-stock farming and fishery) and the matters pertaining to weights and measures and plan-making.
Article 6. The Chemistry Bureau shall take charge of matters pertaining to ceramic products and chemicals (inclusive of matters pertaining to distribution and consumption of industrial salt and cearse campher, and exclusive of matters pertaining to foods and drinks, production quantities, distribution and consumption of chemical fertilizers and matters pertaining to distribution and consumption of goods exclusively used in agriculture, forestry, live-stock farming and fishery except chemical fertilizers), matters pertaining to fermentation chemicals and matters pertaining to the monopolistic sale of alcohol. Article 8 shall be deleted, and Article 7 shall become Article 8.
Article 7. The Textile Bureau shall take charge of matters pertaining to textile goods (exclusive of distribution and consumption of goods exclusively used in agriculture, forestry, live-stock farming and fishery).
In Article 11, "The Industrial Affairs Bureau" shall read "The Chemistry Bureau."
In a part of the paragraph as regards the regular personnel of the secretaries of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Article 12 "full time 94 persons" and "full time 219 persons" shall read "full time 95 persons" and "full time 223 persons" respectively.
Supplementary Provision:
The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
