I hereby give My Sanction to the amendments of the Imperial Ordinance concerning the Regulations for Supplied and Loaned Articles for a Policeman and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 420
The Regulations for Supplied and Loaned Articles for a policeman are hereby amended as follows:
In Para. 1, Art. 1. "white summer uniform" shall read "a summer uniform." "A summer coat of black or dark blue serge" shall read "a coat and trousers for midsummer."
"1. a collar,
1. a pair of gloves,
1. a winter underwear and
1. a summer underwear"
shall read:
"1. a white shirt,
1. a necktie,
1. a pair of gloves,
1. a winter shirt and
1. a summer shirt."
In Para. 2, the same Art. "a special uniform cap or an over-coat" shall read "special cap."
In Art. 2. "
1. a shoulder-badge.
1. a collar-badge,
1. a sabre or a short rsabe,
1 a sabre-knot and
1. a sabre-belt or a short sabre belt"
shall read:
"1. a rank-badge,
1. a sun-badge."
"1. an alarm-whistle" shall read:
1. an alarm-whistle,
1. a baton and
1. a pistol
."
In Para. 1, Art. 3. "a collar, a pair of gloves a winter underwear and a summer underwear" shall read: "a white shirt, a necktie, a pair of gloves a winter shirt and a summer shirt."
In Para. 1, Art. 4.
"1. a white summer coat: 2 months,
1. two pairs of white summer trousers: 4 months,
1. a summer coat of a black or dark blue serge: 12 months"
shall read:
"1. a suit of a summer uniform: 12 months, and
1. suit of midsummer coat and midsummer trouser : 4 months."
"1. four collars: 4 months" shall read:
"1. two white shirts: 12 months and
1. two neckties: 12 months"
"Shuto" (gloves) shall read "Tebukuro" (gloves). "a winter underwear" shall read "a winter shirt". "a summer underwear" shall read "a summer shirt". Para. 2, the said Art. shall be amended as follows: Midsummer coat and midsummer,
and three white shirts shall be given for the first time after the appointment despite the above provision.
In Para. 3 and Para. 4, the same Art. "short trousers" shall read "special trousers"; "Hakama" (trousers) shall read "Zubon" (trousers). In Para. 5, the same Art. "a special uniform cap or an overcoat" shall read "a special cap."
Supplementary Provision:
The present Ordinance shall come into force as from August 1, 1946.
Supply or loan in case of wearing for some time the uniform regulated heretofore in accordance with the provisions of Para. 3, supplementary provisions to the Regulations for Uniforms of Police and Fire Police Officials, shall follow the examples heretofore.
