Organization and Function of the Temporary Establishment of Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Home Affairs
Investigation Bureau is temporarily established in the Ministry of Home Affairs to take charge of the following affairs:
1. Affairs concerning investigation and disposal of articles returned to the Imperial Government from the Supreme Commander of Allied Powers.
2. Affairs concerning the Prohibition, in accordanc with the request of the Supreme Commander of Allied Powers, against organizing political parties, associations and other bodies.
3. Affairs concerning the investigation and other matters, in accordance with the Supreme Commander of Allied Powers, relating to those who were formerly regular officers of the Army and the Navy or retired officers who had specially volunteered for the Army and the Navy.
4. Affairs concerning what have been requested by the Supreme Commander of Allied Powers (with the exception of what have particularly been designated by the Minister of Home Affairs).
5. Affairs concerning the summary of liasion business in connection with affairs under the charge of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Supplementary Provisions:
This Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
The following amendments are made to the temporary organization and function of personnel in the Ministry of Home Affairs:
"68 (full time)" shall read "58 (full time)," "two of whom" shall read "one of whom" and "754 (full time)" shall read "752 (full time)."
The following amendments are made to the temporary organization and function of personnel of metropolis and prefectures:
In Article 1, "29 (full time)" shall read "32 (full time)," and "561 (full time)" shall read "565 (full time)."
In Article 1-(bis), 3, "36 (full time)" shall read "38 (full time)," and "2177 (full time)" shall read "2179 (full time)."
In Article 1-(bis), 4, Paragraph 1, "547 (full time)" shall read "588 (full time)," and "5361 (full time)" shall read "5424 (full time)."
