I hereby give My Sanction, with the advice of the Privy Council to the Imperial Ordinance concerning the partial amendments to the Elementary School Ordinance, and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 332
The following, amendments are made to the Elementary School Ordinance:
In Para. 1, Art. 18, "Principals teachers (kundo) and assistant teachers (jun-kundo)" shall read "Prefectural instructors (kyokan) and assistant instructors (jun-kyoin) who are on the staff of the elementary school." In Para. 2, ibid., "Teacher-nurses (yogo-kundo)" shall read "Prefectural technicians (chiho-gikan) who are on the staff of the elementary school," and "The certificate of yogo-kundo (teacher-nurse)" shall read "The certificate of yogo-kyoin (teacher-nurse)." In Para. 3, ibid., "Teachers or assistant teachers," shall read "Prefectural instructors or assistant. instructors who are on the staff of the elementary school." In Para. 4, ibid., "The certificate of yogo-kundo (teacher-nurse)" shall read "The certificate of yogo-kyoin (teacher-nurse)," and "Teacher-nurses" shall read "Prefectural technicians who are on the staff of the elementary school." In Para. 7, ibid., "The certificate of yogo-kundo (teacher-nurse)" shall read "The certificate of yogo-kyoin (teacher-nurse)."
In Art. 19, "Assistant teachers" shall read "Assistant instructors."
In Par. 3. Art. 21 and in Art. 22, "The certificate of yogo-kundo (teacher-nurse)" shall read "The certificate of yogo-kyoin (teacher-nurse)."
In Art. 23, "Assistant teachers" shall read "Assistant instructors."
In Art. 35, "Teachers, teacher-nurses and assistant teachers" shall read "Prefectural instructors, prefectural technicians and assistant instructors who are on the staff of the elementary school," and "The certificate of yogo-kundo (teacher-nurse)" shall read "The certificate of yogo-kyoin (teacher-nurse)."
Supplementary Provisions:
The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
The certificate of yogo-kundo (teacher-nurse) which is given prior to the enforcement of the present Ordinance shall be regarded as the same with that of yogo-kyoin (teacher-nurse) which is given according to the revised provision of Para. 4, Art. 18.
Paragraph 2 of the Imperial Ordinance No. 635 of the 18th year of Showa shall be deleted.
A part of General Rules to the Regulations governing the Organization of Ministries shall be amended as follows:
In Article 9, "Public School Officials" shall read "Public School Officials of 2nd grade."
