I hereby give my sanction to the Imperial Ordinance concerning the partial amendments to be made to Ordinance No. 68 of the 21st year of Showa (the Ordinance pertaining to the special instance of Pension Regulations concerning the Orders to be issued in consequence of the acceptance of the Potsdam Declaration) and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 304
Ordinance No. 68 of the 21st year of Showa shall be amended as follows:
In Article 1, "Army, Navy, First Demobilization or Second Demobilization" shall read "Army or Navy."
To Article 6 the following item shall be added:
The Provision of Article 66-2 shall be applicable mutatis mutandis in case military men above non-commissioned officers as well as civilians in military service have come to receive additional pension after being awarded with a grant for the sick and wounded.
With regard to the application of the Provision of Item 2 in Article 41, the Provision of Article 51 shall imply the Provisions of Paragraph 1 and Paragraph 2.
Supplementary Provision:
The amended Provisions of Article 1 and Article 6, and the amended Provision of Article 8 shall be applicable as from February 1 of the 21st year of Showa and November 24 of the 20th year of Showa respectively.
