We hereby give Our sanction to the amendment of the Ordinance pertaining to teachers' Sanatoriums and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 229
The following amendment shall be made to the Ordinance pertaining to teachers' Sanatoriums:
Art. III. Personnal to be appointed over each teachers' sanatorium are as follows:
Prefectural Technicians:
Full-time not more than 29 persons 2nd grade
Full-time not more than 35 person 3rd grade
Prefectural Secretaries:
Full-time not more than 22 persons 3rd grade
A prefectural technician of the second grade shall be appointed to the superintendent.
Art. VI to IX shall be deleted.
Supplementary Provisions:
The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
When the present Ordinance is put into force, and yet those officials having been appointed the posts listed in the left column have not received any written appointment, it shall be acknowledged that they are appointed to the offices listed in the middle column respectively, that those officials are made 2nd grade, and that those officials equivalent to sonin officials equivalent to hannin officials are made 3rd grade and at the same time appointed to the office listed in the right column. When the present Ordinance is put into force, and yet no written appointment has been issued to those officials listed in the left column who are at present on half-pay, it shall be acknowledged that they are appointed the offices listed in the middle column respectively, and that those officials equivalent to sonin officials or to hannin officials are made 2nd or 3rd grade respectively.

The term of retirement of those officials referred to above shall be together counted with the term for them as officialslisted in the left column and that as listed in the middle.
The provisions of Par. 2 of Supplementary Provisions shall not prevent the application of the regulations relating to qualification of officials for appointments and classification.
When this ordinance is put into force, and yet no written appointments is issued to the officials of a teachers' sanatorium, salaries prescribed in the Salary Schedule Ordinance equivalent to the present amounts shall be paid to them, though former amount of salaries shall be paid when there is no designation equivalent to the amount of the present salaries.
The following amendment shall be made to the provisions Relating to Governmental Officials.
"And other public establishments" shall be added next to "public schools under the control of the prefectural governors" in Art. III.
The following amendment shall be made to the Prefectural Officials Ordinance.
No. 9 of the Item 1 in the Article XII shall be deleted.
