Law for Partial Amendments to the Mental Hygiene Law
The Mental Hygiene Law (Law No.123 of 1950) shall be partially amended as follows:
In Article 14 paragraph 2, "members" shall be amended as "members and temporary members" , and the same paragraph shall be made paragraph 3, and the following one paragraph shall be added next to paragraph 1:
2 The Mental Hygiene Council may, in case it deems it especially necessary, have temporary members.
Article 25 shall be amended as follows:
(Report of Public Prosecutor)
Article 25. In case a public prosecutor has taken measures of non-prosecution with respect to the suspect of mental disorder or in case the judgement of the court (excluding the judgement which sentences a penal servitude, confinement or detention but does not sentence a probation) has been decided with respect to the accused in the condition of mental disorder, he shall report without delay to that effect to the governor of To, Do, Fu or prefecture.
Article 49 paragraph 2 shall be deleted.
Supplementary Provision:
This Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
