Law for Partial Amendments to the Health Insurance Law
The Health Insurance Law (Law No.70 of 1922) shall be partially amended as follows:
The following one paragraph shall be added to Article 55:
In order to receive the insurance benefits provided for in the preceding paragraph, the persons should have been insured consecutively for six months or more prior to the day when they became disqualified as the insured.
The following one paragraph shall be added to Article 57:
The provision of Article 55 paragraph 2 shall apply mutatis mutandis to the insurance benefits provided for in the preceding paragraph.
In Article 71-(4) paragraph 1, "5.0 per cent" shall be amended as "6.0 per cent" , and in paragraph 2 of the same Article, "4.5 to 5.5 per cent" shall be amended as "5.5 to 6.5 per cent" .
In Article 75-(2), "3.0 per cent" shall be amended as "3.5 per cent" .
Supplementary Provisions:
1. This law shall come into force as from January 1, 1951.
2. In regard to a person who is currently receiving a benefit according to the provision of Article 55 (including cases where it applies mutatis mutandis in Article 59-(2) paragraph 5 and Article 59-(4) paragraph 3) or Article 57 at the time of the enforcement of this Law, the precedents under the former provisions shall apply, regardless of the amended provisions of Article 55 and Article 57.
